Williams, a former national basketball player, is also a sports journalist/commentator, offering up his insightful take on the morning programmes, “Vybe Sports News” and “The Banter”. The rest of his packed day on the job has him delving into sales, planning and hosting meetings, and supervising staff. Left to him, however, he’d prefer to be the station’s full-time sportscaster, including dabbling into investigative sports journalism.

Despite the journey being a challenging one thus far – after all, the radio station is pretty much still in its infancy — Williams says he’s excited and delighted just seeing the Vybe Radio vision come to fruition. He also acknowledged the tremendous weight of expectations from the station’s audience as Vybe Radio continues to become more innovative.

“Generally, it’s been a great and exciting journey so far,” Williams said. “We have some great staff who share the vision. We work hard to try to accomplish our goals as a company.”
