As preparations for the execution of the Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival remain underway, the preeminent goal of easing congestion while maintaining the safety of motorists has guided the institution of traffic plans applicable to the motorways surrounding the Mindoo Philip Park and Pigeon Island National Landmark.
The coordination of traffic flow will be undertaken by the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force through the implementation of clear guidelines for the respective venues.
OPENING OF JAZZ 2023
The opening of the Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival will commence at 8 p.m. on Friday May 5th, 2023 and end at 2 a.m on the morning of Saturday May 6th, 2023. To ensure seamless execution, road closure will be implemented at the intersection of;
- Marchand Road and Chaussee Road.
- Marchand Road and Park Lane Avenue.
- Marchand Road and Bishops Gap intersection.
- Marchand Road and Entrepot intersection.
- Leslie Land and Park Lane Avenue intersection.
To accommodate motorists, the flow of traffic will be diverted at the following intersections;
- Marchand Road and Black Mallet intersection with a detour to the left.
- Marchand Road and Rock Hall intersection with a detour to the left.
- Marchand Road and Bishops Gap intersection with a detour to the left.
- Marchand Road and Park Lane Avenue intersection with a detour to the left.
- Marchand Road and Bishops Gap intersection with a detour to the right.
- Marchand Road and Entrepot intersection with a detour to the right.
No Parking Zones have been established on the;
- Left and Westbound side of Marchand Road.
- Left and Northbound side of Park Lane Avenue
- Right and Northbound side of Entrepot Road.
PARK AND RIDE
General parking has been designated at the Conway Car Park, Police Headquarters Car Park and Adjodha Car Park in William Peter Boulevard. Parking facility fee is $10 EC dollars.
Additionally, vehicles can be placed within the city, strictly where parking is permitted.
Security and paid shuttle services will be provided at each Park and Ride location.
